Issues with aftermarket extended brake lines?

Has anyone had any issues with extended brake lines not threading as deeply as the OEM? The OEM lines were original and a pain to get off but they seemed to thread in pretty deep. These on the other hand (from SRQ fabrications) only seemed to get 2-3 turns before getting tight. 8”I’m concerned I may have stripped the first one a bit overtightening it. It just didn’t feel right only having a couple of turns in on a brake line! I’m showing 6 threads on 3 connections and 5 on the other, which also happens to be the one I really torqued down on and may have stripped.

I always compare the line nuts. Some are alot longer then others. However the flange should be the same depth as in as the original.

If I make line, I use only stainless steel line nuts and Nickle copper lines. I belive the thread is 10mmx 1.0. I do this as I live in the rust belt.

You maybe better off to just get the oem lines you need from Toyota. As they are all prebent and have the same nuts as the oem original do. I believe they are all available yet.

Ah. Aftermarket extensions. So my information is not applicable to your need. Sorry. Thankfully the other member has it handled.

This is a common issue. If you search, you'll find several threads about it.

What I did:
Try threading the banjo bolt into the caliper without the brake line to confirm if it will bottom out properly or not.

It's not the threads of the bolt that are too long though, the inside diameter is what will interfere.

It's an easy fix. All you have to do is slightly drill out the end of the banjo bolt to provide a little relief. Then recheck the bolt in the caliper, and you'll be good to go.
