Option for Suspension Replacement

Would like some of your thoughts on this as an option to replace the suspension on my 2000 limited. the suspension is tired and old so I figured I'd go ahead and take it up a notch while at it and add some better looking wheels.

A local 4x4 shop came up with the following package"
Eibach Pro-Truck lift System Stage 1
JBA STD High Caster Upper Control Arms
New OEM Lower control arms
New Ball joints

Labor, alignment tax etc right at about $3k

My intent is not to go rock walking. Occasional off-road use and mostly roads. 2.5" lift in front, 1" rear

I already have new 17" wheels and BFG 285/70/17 tires.

First off, if you don't know when they were done or if it's been over 100,000 miles... Drop everything you're doing and swap out those lower ball joints with OEM ones immediately. Extremely critical part.

Beyond that, here's what I would recommend if you want a decent ride but you're not looking for mega flex.

Dobinson IMS front and rear shocks. 3rd gen specific. You kind of have two options, you can get them stock which many people say ride well, but if you talk with Robinson they can also valve them to be a bit more plush which is what I'm actually in the process of doing. For the front, I would get whichever coils they have that work for how much lift that you want... But for the rear I would consider getting OME 890s as they are longer than most. So if you ever decide that you do want more flex you only have to change the shocks. Again if you never plan on doing anything like that, then you could go with whatever Dobinson's offers.

Beyond that I would get the light racing upper control arm because it is adjustable. Non-adjustable is limited. Just my two cents.
