Is it the wheel speed sensor?

I broke a driver side cv axle offroad and after I replaced the part I was test driving it in the yard, activated 4wd (without center locked) and whenever a made a sharp turn i lost all power to the wheels (stepping on gas pedal did nothing) as soon as i straightened up it was normal. Also 2wd and 4wd (center locked) I did not have this problem.

The wheel speed sensor is expensive so I just want to be sure this is the case. Thanks.

VSC is still on in Unlocked 4x4. Look at your Dash when you lock the center diff. You will see the VSC light come one.

Look at the dash when in AWD/Unlocked 4x4 when it cuts power, and you will see a light flashing on the upper left side of the dash. That's the VSC kicking in a cutting power. Mine does the same thing when I turn the wheel past about 45 degrees in AWD on pavement. It's completely normal operation.

I wasn't on pavement I was on grass/dirt and I've had my 4runner for 7 years and never noticed that. But I hope you're right.

Might need to do zero point calibration.
