ToyTec Aluma vs OME
I’ve already read dozens of threads on numerous forums, and there’s lots of great info out. I’m just looking for feedback regarding my specific setup/needs.
‘02 Sport
Multi-mode w/ 5-speed swap + TRD S/C
285/75r16 tires
Addicted OR front plate bumper w/ winch
Addicted OR rear bumper
4X skid plate
4X sliders
Prinsu full rack
It has a moderate amount of weight, but I don’t haul around a bunch of gear. Spare tire & hi-lift mounted in the cargo area plus a very small bag of tools. Truck is my daily driver, mixed city/hwy. I load it down with camping gear (RTT) and haul a bass boat very regularly but daily driving it’s empty.
Can’t decide between the ToyTec Aluma w/ HD rear springs or the OME 883 + 891 setup.
I don’t do any off-roading other than using the 4Runner to get to camp sites. Mostly access roads and trails, nothing crazy.
My main concerns are the lift height and settling of the OME setup. I know it’s a solid lift and provides a great ride, but I also know they tend to sag. I had a setup on my ‘01 Tacoma years ago and I loved it. Just trying to figure out if the 883/891 setup will match the lift height of the ToyTec Aluma HD.
