Denver, CO - My 2001 was stolen last night (9.12)
So some assclown(s) stole my beloved 4Runner. I am still processing. But I thought it a good idea to post here, after seeing a Delica returned to its owner because he posted to their forum and all those eyes helped out.
I live in Denver proper (Baker). Cops are aware and say, "it'll probably be used in some crimes and be abandoned." Awesome!
Silver, 2001, 2" frame/1" body lift, BFGs, Thule/Tepui RTT, toytec stickers on rear quarter glass, light bar on front steel bumper, no grill, tinted windows, and one rainguard is missing on rear passenger side.
DM me if you think you have seen it. I wish it was more unique, but it is just AnotherCO4Runner.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance to anyone who happens to spot it.

Hate it for ya ~ very glad I got out of Denver, and CO.
As much as I hate the site, most of the theft returns I've seen community solved happened because of Facebook. Post over there if you haven't already, both 4runner specific and Denver local groups.

Thanks for the tip. I will ask a friend to post something. I have never had a FB account.

I am incredibly sorry to hear that this happened to you. I will keep you in thought for sure. Stay vigilant. Keep a look out on Craigslist too, just in case these *******s try selling it for a quick buck. Put this on every social media platform you have just to try getting widespread coverage. I hope you get your rig back in the same condition it was taken in.

Mine was stolen two days before Christmas in 2016 and was recovered exactly two weeks later. I honestly thought I'd never see it again.
It took a fair amount of work to fix the damage and clean up the absolute mess it was left in, but I was able to work through it and am still enjoying it over 5 years later.
Best of luck and I have my fingers crossed for you. It is an absolute gutting feeling. Also hope the bastards that took it get caught and fully prosecuted.

I thought Denver was getting bad 6 years ago when I bailed (after 20 years living there). I'm now 100 miles away, but I'll keep an eye out.

Condolences on your loss, I'd be beyond devastated.
So does this mean they got past the immobilizer or what allowed this to happen?
Makes me think of adding a kill switch, wonder what key wire I could splice into, anyone know?
Again sorry for what happened and hope it turns up.

I don't want to say too much but anything to do with fuel delivery. No fuel no start.

UPDATE - Located in Pueblo
I got the call from Pueblo PD that my vehicle was located this morning. It was ditched in a residential neighborhood when it ran out of gas.
They stole the RTT, my license plates and everything personal item that was inside. They did leave behind some lighter fluid, a mess and new dents.
For those wondering how they started it, see photo.
Thanks to everyone for their sympathy and support.

Hopefully with some PDR, and a little work you can get it back to a good place. Sucks they took the RTT though. Will your insurance company cover any of it or would it total it out to claim it?

glad they found it and glad you got it back, sad to see it in that shape, but on the bright side at least it wasn't stripped out or wrecked.
i'll be looking forward to seeing it back in service soon

I only carried liability, so insurance won't be a factor. I am hoping homeowners might cover the RTT.
They did hit something pretty hard and pushed the steel bumper in, so concerned there is structural damage.
I don't have space to store it and time is at a premium. I am not sure how best to proceed.
