I took out the upper metal strips that the OEM spare tire rests on. I don't fully inflate the spare since I carry a compressor. That helps quite a bit, actually. Also, I trimmed a lip off the interior of the hitch receiver. I never tow anything. I only use the hitch to carry my bikes. So, it wasn't going to cause a structural issue. I hoist up the spare with the carrier and wedge it between the upper crossmember and the inside of the hitch. Remember, don't fully inflate the tire and it will be squishy enough to compress it.
I have an old pic for illustrative purposes of the parts I removed:
See that little box protruding from the inside of the hitch? I cut that off.

Very interesting. Thanks for the photos! My spare (inflated) takes some jockeying to get into he right spot on the tread blocks.
That’s cool you can fit a 33”. I keep wanting to get a bumper with a swing out until I start think about how in the way the swing out it’s going to be most of the time and how heavy the bumper will be.

For what it’s worth, Not that it helps your situation at all, but I get a really healthy amount of rake with my ome 2890 Springs. Even with a cooler, all the recovery, full of guns and everything.
Way more lift than the 2906. I wonder if the 861 would help you?

And, Scene.
Thanks to everyone who contributed thoughts, experience and information to this thread. I really appreciate it. The wife and I just got back from a 2-day trip through the Tillamook Forest to the coast and back to celebrate our 21 years together. We spent a lot of time in this vehicle, but it had sat for a few years due to it needing the refresh I recently did to it. It was a nostalgic run. My wife even suggested the trip herself!
This was a good shakedown run for the current build of the 4Runner. We weren't heavily loaded, just a duffle bag for our clothes, small cooler for snacks and water, hi-lift jack, shovel, tools, other odds and ends, plus 2 humans. It was a fun trip.
I'm used to how the truck sits now, and the wife even called it "sexy". So, I probably shouldn't mess with it. ;-)
At any rate, I'm going to leave things as-is until next year and most likely swap out the current setup for a Dobinsons IMS.
Cheers!
Gratuitous shot from the trip:
