Tundra Brake Upgrade brake pad contact surface area

Hey guys. Just completed the TBU using the 231mm calipers and the accompanying 2005 tundra brake pads on my 2001 4Runner. I’ve driven the truck a few hundred miles and everything works and feels great. The only thing that concerns me is that when I went to go check the rotor, for some reason the brake pad contact surface to the rotor is not contacting 1/5th of the rotor towards the inner rotor surface. Now this how it should be?

I take it you switched out the stock T4R rotors for Tundra rotors too?

Yes that’s right. I did the complete 231mm TBU. New Rotors from a 2005 tundra, 2005 tundra 231mm calipers, and 2005 tundra brake pads.

If someone who has done the 231mm TBU can take a look and see if there is a 1/5th portion of inner rotor that does not come into contact with the brake pad I’d appreciate it.
