Dumb Ebrake question

I’ve heard conflicting things so I wanted to see what the actual answer is. Will adjusting my back brakes by pulling the Ebrake ever make them too tight? I’ve heard that once they are where they should be the adjuster will not be able to turn them anymore. Is this the case? I adjusted my back brakes with the Ebrake lever and after driving for a little bit at highway speed I noticed my wheels themselves were warm to the touch when I stopped to get gas and obviously the drums were hot too but nothing I’d think is over the top. Are my brakes too tight?

Currently dealing with the TBU low pedal issue and would like to make sure my back brakes are where they should be before I move onto other causes

FSM says 7-9 clicks of Lever max travel, less than 7 too tight more than 9 too loose
from experience this has proved correct with my brake jobs.
Jack wheel off ground turn by hand should hear a light scrub of drum on shoes.

That part I know but what I’m asking is let’s say my brakes are adjusted properly, if I just keep yanking on the Ebrake will it eventually tighten the shoes too much and cause them to rub while driving and heat up the drums and wheel . I’ve heard that at a certain point they will not keep adjusting out and that you basically keep pulling the Ebrake till you don’t hear the adjusters moving anymore

Once they get to a certain point adjuster is supposed to slip on toothed adjuster gear/wheel. With new hardware.

Another issue that can occur is the bell cranks levers don't sit on the adjusting bolts when released. If they stick or don't move properly your ebrake adjusters can't function properly as well. So it's very important they move and function properly too.

When I had the drums off I verified the Ebrake lever did in fact turn the adjusters. After doing a whole rear brake job I wanted to make sure everything was in order so I can rule the rear brake adjustment out for low pedal culprits. I’m sure air is in the ABS module is causing this Dumb Ebrake question
