Coverking seatcovers installed

Next week will be 22 years since I bought it. The dealer installed leather is showing its age on the driver seat. The others were OK but Costco had a sale on front/rear Coverking. Less than 200 bucks for all. Only issue is that Coverking does not realize the 3rd gen rear carpet. The order form asks if you have carpet but they apparently assume you can get behind it. I have an open ticket with to tell me how I am supposed to install the rear seatback. The cover has velcro and assumes the backside and frontside will meet. 4Runner has continuous carpet from headrest to the hatch so no way. I finally bought some velcro tape to make it work.

Here is the driver seat after 22 years and the new front rear

Ordered from Costco's website which actually linked to Coverking.

Looks good

The carpet on the back of the rear seats is wrapped around particle board panels that cover the seat back held in place by plastic clips

If you work very carefully around the back of the seat you can pop the clips and separate the carpet and access the rear/inside of the rear seat

Thought about doing that and decided to try a strip of velcro first. If I want to remove them to clean I would have to pull the carpet off again. Got an email from Coverking last night - offering me a strip of velcro. I think they only have one pattern even though they ask if there is carpet. They did a good job sizing the covers but I have no idea how they expected the front/back to connect
