Viair 300p onboard air questions...

So I have a 300p right now that I just use to air up tires with a DIY 4 way inflator/deflator setup. My plan is to eventually do the permanent mount on the driver rear quarterpanel and have a connector to hook my 4 way into. I also want to plan for the future though and also build a manifold that I could put some expansions onto as well as a pressure selenoid and check valve to protect the compressor since it doesn't have an auto cutoff. It seems like doing air bags would be a pretty straightforward endeavor if I ever start towing or needing to carry more gear but my real question is plumbing in a system for air lockers off of this if I ever decide to go down that route. Looking at the ARB website they say you need a compressor able to push a minimum of 70 psi but preferably 100-150psi. Would the 300p be able to perform this function? Would I need to attach an air tank to pull this off? I know it's rated to 150psi but I don't know if it's actually capable of doing this function. Basically I want to know ahead of time if I need to upgrade to one of the bigger compressors before I go and mount it as an onboard air system.

I was in your seat a couple months ago. You're gonna need a different compressor. The 300P is for filling tires only meant to run part time - and I believe it. I own one and the thing gets pretty dang hot from a quick use. In theory it wouldn't be needed with a tank but i dont know if such a compressor would be good for the job, especially seeing as Viair makes a constant cycle unit to accomplish this over their smaller tire inflators
You would need to run a tank anyways. That's what makes the ARB compressor so nice; it has a small tank with pressure switch built right into the unit itself, but it's just meant for engaging a locker. Whether or not it can handle a locker and air bags simultaneously I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be shocked if a little 5gal tank would be required.
