Is this why you’ve been spamming the 3rd gen section? So you can get enough posts to sell your 4Runner? I hope you get nothing but lowball offers, scammers, and flaky buyers that don’t show up.

Would you consider parting it out? I just want the title and door jamb sticker.

2002 4Runner - Rusted Rear Upper Shock Mount

That’s been my plan when the time comes.

Homemade mounts or purchased?

If you're down for a road trip, I've got an absolutely spotless 2wd frame in Nashville, TN. $500 roller

Purchased from snowbound and I since I am running stock shocks, I re-drilled the hole (inwards) and cut off the excess.

The brackets that he makes are for the big rigs, big shocks and lots of space.
However I don't think that it would be that hard to make the brackets if you have some welding experience.

note, i was going to get someone to install them for me but for the prices I was being quoted, I bought a small welder and did it myself. Otherwise I might have custom made mine from the beginning.

What were you getting quoted? My DS mount is in the process of rusting out, despite the fact the the frame is in quite good shape. The Snowbound mounts seem like the best option, since I'm close to stock (Billy 5100s + OME 906).

I've been meaning to pick up welding, but this doesn't exactly seem like the place to start...

I just started one day. Just weld them on.. worst case, have someone that knows how you assist.

I actually started here with my welding, lol.

I was looking at $100/hr minimum 4 hours.

If you are stock, my advice is drill a new hole beside the exiting one (closer to frame), a little smaller diameter, then cut off the excess. The snow bounds are made for bigger trucks with larger shocks/wheels. I only had about a 1/8 - 1/4 inch clearance when flexed. Then I trimmed it and it gave me a lot more.

I went to their site and looked at them. Yea, I could make them. Though I’d like a hotter mig to build them. I could take them to work to build though. The picture I posted looks like a fab also.
