Rear Cat Stolen. Who Thinks I Should Just Upgrade?

Got the quote for replacing a rear cat on my 3rd gen. I am thinking why not buy a Magnaflow overland exhaust and just replace the whole thing for an extra couple hundred?

If money isn't an issue here I say go for it. For me, anytime something breaks or goes bad, I see it as an opportunity to upgrade. For example my oem muffler rotted out last year and I opted for a Borla replacement muffler. Gives it a nice little rumble. You have to drop the money as it is so you might as well upgrade while you're at it.

Did you say rear cat as in 1 of 2 cats? If you aren't in CA I would definitely consider not replacing cat #2 and getting a cat-back kit. The MF overland comes with both a Federal pipe and CA connector if you want to go back to 2 cats (at least it used to). I agree that most opportunities to upgrade will pay off in the long run.

MagnaFlow also makes a downpipe with a high flow Cat for $400 for these trucks.

Thanks everyone for the input! Went ahead and grabbed the MagnaFlow catalytic converter today, and 100% upgrading to the MagnaFlow overland exhaust.
