Brake Line Extension

This has been gone through a few times but none related to my circumstances.

Do you need to extend brake lines proportionally to your shock length? I'm 7" longer than factory shock length. My Toytec extended lines are getting bodied and seem to be my only looking factor. Rather than add limiting straps to fix the problem, I would rather extend my brake lines to a custom length.

Do I need to extend my brake lines proportional to my shock body length? Toytex extended brake lines are 4in over stock. Toytex lift kit is 3in over stock. Is this the rule?

Before anybody tells me that factory geometry does not support this, I know. I plan on buying the three link kit when I have money.

How much travel do you have total? I think the LC shocks I’m running come out to 10” or so of travel and all I had to do was bend the bracket on top on the pumpkin and it’s fine.

Definitely wouldn’t hurt to extend them though. I wouldn’t say it necessarily needs to mirror your shock totally. Like I said the stock lines in the back handle up to 9-10” of travel so I think you’d be fine with the 4” extension.

Mine is an 02 so there are 2 lines. Bracket has already been bent down. I have probably around 12" of travel (26.5" long shocks at extension, 16.8" at compression). The extended lines are being yanked at droop. I imagine I have more travel than they're allowing tbh.

Hopefully these show without clicking, full droop and near stuff
