Random wheel well question

Anyone every think about this location and how it holds mud and stuff that could cause rust. I don’t mind keeping the truck dirty after coming off the trail/woods but always feel like I need to clean this specific area immediately. Thinking about a price of foam or something to go in there.

You definitely wouldn't want to use something porous like foam. I personally wouldn't do that, that area doesn't have a smooth texture and it's hard to clean out before applying. And if water does get by, it'll now be held up against the metal.

I brushed a layer of fluid film all along that lip so I can still clean the surface if I want to. That ledge sucks though, Toyota wasn't thinking when they did that.

I am surprised nobody makes plastic insert to seal those up.

In the rust belt. Those rot off. As the rocker is right behind it.
