Custom sway bar endlinks and rear control links

I wanted to share some of the things I put together from the different post on endlinks. I am in no means to copy anyone ideas but with all the different off-roader sites that offer builders parts, you can build your own endlinks. The front endlinks are custom links that Steinjager ( 1996-2002]Products End Links For Front Sway Bar Chrome Moly Rod Ends Base Model )had me field test for them in 2018 and they have worked out great. The setup is different from the ones that are out there and the setup never interfered with any front end suspension parts like the CV axles and lower control arms. The rear uses the hex tubing from Steinjager with FK rod ends and poly bushings. When you build the endlinks yourself they may cost more, than when you buy a set from different companies. I chose to build them myself, so I can pick and chose the parts that go in to endlinks.

The Rear upper and lower control arms that I put together are custom 7075 aluminum bar from Wideopen Design ( 7075 Aluminum Link Bars. Best Turnaround in the Industry - Wide Open Design ) links and rod end kits that include everything you need to build your own control links.

Hopefully this helps anyone that would like to build there own parts with out using a welder.

Lower Control Links

With all the help from Wideopen Design in Tennessee they can help build your own control links out of 7075 Aluminum links 1.5" to 2.5" diameter links and they can thread them 3/4"-16, 7/8"-14, 7/8"-18, 1"-12, and 1 1/4"-12. The aluminum links do not bend but they flex which because they are solid bar not hollow metal DOM. They also sell rod end kits to help build your own email or give them a call.

Around how much did it end up costing for a full set? With their prices once you add all the joints and everything it looks like it costs around the same as a premade set, but you still have to assemble everything. Might be fun for a project but it doesn't seem like there's a point unless you want to say you made them yourself. No hate or anything, I just feel like the main reason someone would make their own set would be to save some money, and just playing around on their website for a little it looks like it's the same price or more than some premade options that are readily available.

Yeah it probably is about the same price if I purchased the already made links but putting them together myself I know where I purchase all the components and I don’t have to ask the manufacturer where to purchase replacement parts. I like building my own parts so I know how everything works, you know how many people that go off-roading and don’t know how to fix there rig.
I also like helping other people and passing on my knowledge to someone else that would like to learn.
