HELP identifying highway speed noise !!

I have been getting a weird squeaking/honking noise while at highway speeds (60+). I can only slightly feel it in the steering wheel and I think it pulls me to the left sometimes. It will go off with bumps but sometimes it will be random.

Background info: I have had the squeak since purchasing the truck back in September 2022 and since then I have upgraded the front suspension, the whole shebang, so I have ruled out any new parts. I initially thought it was a wheel bearing and so I had that replaced but am still getting this weird noise.

any help is appreciated!

Guess you checked the front brake rock/debris shields?

My guess is that it's Bushings most likely. Did you replace the steering rack bushings? Are they Poly or rubber? How are the UCA and LCA bushings?

I, too, have been experiencing this for a long time, but only notice it when driving at highway speeds AND there's a lot of wind. Like heavy, heavy wind. No idea what it is or where it's coming from. Normal daily driving conditions don't produce this sound so I have absolutely no clue what could be the cause of it. I also feel the pull in the steering wheel as well, so I'm wondering if maybe it's just the wind hitting the car at the right angles? Could sound super crazy/dumb but who knows. I'll be interested to see if anyone else says they have experienced something similar.

Exact same noise here too. Highway speed during heavy winds that hit either the left side or right side of the car. Had the windshield replaced cause it was cracked and excepted the noise to go away. It did not. I kinda just live with it though it would be nice to know what it is.

I’ve had passengers try to identify where it’s coming from and the best they could narrow it down was the passenger side dash area by the A pillar/possibly behind the dash

I think it's gotta be that, or something similar. If I'm only noticing it under those certain conditions then I would be led to believe it's just from the wind.

im glad i wasn’t going crazy! I initially thought it was wind but the pulling of the steering wheel made me believe something more.

i don't enjoy the idea of living with it so ill update this thread with more questions and/or solutions!!

thanks guys

I haven't touched the steering rack bushings yet but they are on the to-do list. I have spc UCA's and haven't touched the LCA bushings either

I’ve replaced my rack bushings with polyurethane ones so they are rock solid. The pulling of the steering wheel is gonna be the wind pushing the vehicle from what I’ve experienced

Are those the weight looking things beneath the truck? They're black and look like squares. I can take a picture later on if needed.

If you get the chance that would be great. I have no idea what that is.
