My guess would be to remove your cat and put a Flowmaster 40 series on there.

I really don't think my Vortex is super low. I like it's tone, it's just not the lowest I've heard.

What about something a little softer...
I dont want anything real loud, just slightly noticable.

About the comment on magna flow. I have one on my runner and its way deep. Its definentally not ricer. And I thought it was deeper than the flows. But I guess its kinda loud. You don't knowtice it inside. But my friends say its loud. It was 140 installed at the local shop. Check it

I've got the Dynomax Super Turbo on my 4Runner. Idle is about the same, maybe deeper, when you really get on it, it will make a lot of noise (good noise at that) and I would say I'm really happy with it. The one small complaint I have is that it sort of drones at 55-60 MPH in O/D. But that's about it. Picked it up for pretty cheap. Exhaust and install for about $100

I haven't noticed anything wrong with the quality of my Cherrybomb and I know Jason has had his for five years or something and does not have a problem with it.
(4)runnin'it- Are you going with a dual set up or just single?

Here's a short vid of the Dynomax on my 4Runner. For the first half of the film or so, the fan was still on so that blocks out the noise for a bit. Engine had been off for about 2 hours, so it had cooled down a little, but his was not a full cold start
Felt like bouncing it off the limiter... I wish that redline wasn't 5500 RPM...

Correct, it's probably been about 7 years now I think I love it, and it completes the truck. Everyone always asks if it's a V8. That's a big compliment.
