99' 4R- One Coil pack contact is dark gray color.
Hello,
I've been trying to track down a slight engine vibration I'm having at at idle. There are no codes. The truck idles and runs great. There's just a slight vibration. Ive cleaned MAF, throttle body, and installed new air filter. Its not the motor mounts either..
I did a compression test and all cylinders were good. Upon inspecting, I found that one of the coil packs contact point, (where the spark plug wire to coil pack connects)was all grey/ash colored and the other two were still a nice shiny gold, brass color. The blue wire going to that contact point has a little rust inside as well.
All of the plugs looked fine, but I replaced them anyway. The other two coil packs and remaining plug wires were clean too.
The only that I did not do was replace the wires and/or the coil pack that had the gray color on contact point.
Can this be causing the slight vibration issue? Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you
