The one I did at 60K I used some kind of transfer machine I had access to at the time. You fill up one side with new fluid, hook it up, and it swaps the fluid.

I'm about to do it again 100K miles later and I'm going to drain the trans at the pan. Refill with however much comes out. Then disconnect the trans line at the radiator and put it in a big bucket. Fire up the truck and let it drain while I add fluid at the dip stick port.

I got this bucket since it's graduated and was on sale for $12 Amazon.com: Rubbermaid Commercial Space Saving Food Storage Container, 8 Quart, Clear (FG630800CLR) : Home & Kitchen

I was gonna go with Valvoline Max ATF, but when I was at the store getting supplies I saw they had Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF on clearance for like $6 a quart so I bought all they had (13 qts) and will just use that. I used Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF at 60K and it's been great for the past 100K.

I gotcha. I picked up some Valvoline MaxLife ATF this morning from Walmart (a 5 quart jug/1gal) for $27.48 out the door. Not horrible but it'll do the job and it'll do it well so I'm not going to lose sleep over it. I can't afford to run AMSOIL right now so this will have to be the next best thing. I didn't see any Mobil1 ATF there, at least that I recall.

The Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF I found on clearance was at Autozone. Depends on region I think but the online price was anywhere from $2 - $7 until you put in your zip. Wish I'd gotten the $2 ones lol but $6 wasn't bad considering they were like $14 normal price for the quarts.

I have graduated buckets when I change mine.

I use clear hoses, too. I just been experimenting with thr transfer pumps. The Amazon pump on the cheaper side are junk.

I have a disel transfer pump that works well just way to big of the inlets 1 inch.

I am hoping fuel pumps will work as that be a simple setup
