Thank you for the post - that's good to know. There are always a few for sale on Ebay, but they're never cheap, and their history is a big question mark.

I'm tempted to buy both just to have them ready for the eventual failure. Although it seems that they either last forever, or fail in the 200k range...
I'm at 210k, so I feel like I'm on borrowed time at this point.

If I find them in the junk yards I pull them as it's only a matter of tome before someone needs them.

yeah they are gone before I can get there most of the time. I'm trying to buy a parts rig that has one for a motor swap project. Fingers crossed that works out.

Good to know, thanks for sharing. I actually live down the road from them, and have noticed their prices are very competitive (Amayama beats them on certain parts even with shipping).
Have a junkyard special sitting in the garage should mine ever go out.

My old one needs pump motor assembly, Reman price $450.00 last I looked doubt it's dropped in price.
Add in accumulator price all rubber parts price IIRC $650.00 all in your still left with partial rebuild using old control module.
After doing swap one n done enough for me.
It way more of a PITA getting air out of the new 4 chan system than old 3 chan when it's up high in system.
Zero chance of me doing it again without the SST Toyota had to design to service it, or figure out how to fire individual ABS channels.

A little off topic, my 2001 is making the exact same noise as the vehicle in this forum post (it's a Lexus forum), the video is in the first post.

I did it on my 2000 Landcruiser. Very similar setup, but I did it without any electronic bleeding. A guy in Moldova did one to a prado and I followed his instructions. He knows what he is doing, and I got mine done. Yes, I will do again, if needed.
Here is the video: Follow the instructions.
