Stuck trying to remove Moog sway bar end links

So I'm trying to see how my truck does without the front sway and if it's something I could live with for onroad or if I want to start looking into disconnecting end links so that I still get the best of both worlds. Unfortunately I ran into a problem trying to remove the control arm side of the moog end links that are currently on there and the ball joint just spins. I guess the OEMs had an allen cut into the end of the bolt for this exact reason but the moogs don't and I'm pretty stumped now how I want to get them out. Regardless I want to replace them because the boot on one is torn up and the bushings are completely shot. Any brilliant ideas for trying to get past this? Only idea I have is to grind some flats into the end of the bolt but I don't have a grinder.

Could get a wrench on there to hold it in place.

Yeah, it's usually hard to see with dirt/grease/rust, but there's often a flat in there.

If that doesn't do it, angle grinder it. That's usually what I end up doing when the end links need to be replaced. Spritz with PBLaster the day before, then give it a go with the wrenches, but if it's not happening, don't bother fighting it, just use the spinny grindy wrench on it.

As long as I can find that flat I should be gravy, nothing has ever been stuck on my truck yet, including a few OEM parts that probably have never been loosened in 25 years/275k. PB Blaster has gotten everything off with ease.

Worse case you can cut them off. I done thst before I don't like using torches or plasma cutters due to the rubber boots and cv joint boots. :/

Takes time, but a dremel or one of the oscillating little saw will cut through it..;) OEM doesn't have any grease fittings on them. I have moogs sway bar links on my front and rear.

The rust belt destroys the steel. It can actually swell the bolts and nuts and they will not come out. Granted, most larger fasteners will come out. I personally have had bolts that normally aren't rusty snap off. Like belt adjusting bolts..

It really depends on whether the rigs were maintained and taken care of or not.

For those of us that live in it. It's just simply a way of life. I learned to embrace it and work around it as that is all we can do..
