2000 3rz PCV valve confusion
I have a 2000 2.7 manual that apparently has the California emissions package. I tried replacing the PCV valve to see if it would stop my rough idle, but as always it opened up a giant can of worms. My pcv valve is threaded in, and I bought the OEM part based on my VIN. The hose that connects the PCV valve to the intake fits extremely loosely on the new valve and I believe it threw a CEL. Unfortunately, I lost the old PCV valve so now I cannot compare the two.
I called a few dealers and it looks like the OEM hose that connects to my PCV valve has been discontinued so I couldn't replace it even if I wanted to. I don't think it would fit on the new valve anyway.
I'm curious if I can just replace the whole PCV assembly with one from the other type of emissions. I believe that PCV valve fits in the cover with a grommet and has one small hose, whereas mine The hose is too different diameters.
Any input? I know the 2.7 is a fairly rare beast around here.
