Brake Buzzer

Hello once more,

I recently replaced the Skid Control ECU (Part No. 89540-35270). Before this both the odometer and speedometer weren’t working at all. CEL, Brake, VSC OFF, VSC TRAC and ABS light were all on along with a constant brake buzzer coming from the ABS Control Module/Booster. After replacing the ECU the VSC OFF and VSC TRAC light remained on and all other lights went off. The speedo and odo function properly. I performed a zero point calibration and got rid of both lights. The only thing that remains is the brake buzzer. Is there any other way I could get rid of this or does this indicate another malfunction? I’ve researched online, but haven’t found anything really helpful.

TIA.

2001 Limited 4WD.

This brake buzz you speak of... Is it the abs module just doing it's thing? "Priming" I think it's referred to as? Or is this a constant noise that doesn't stop the entire time you're driving? Interested to know a little bit more.

It happens often. I’d say every five to twenty minutes. Most of the time when I step on the brake. Also happens upon startup.
I doubt it’s a normal thing, or it could be. This is my first time owning a 3rd gen so it could be a normal thing and I’m just not familiar.
It’s an actual buzzer coming from the ABS Module.

Sounds something like this: Buzzer sound effect - YouTube

It buzzes for about 10 seconds, sometimes not so much.

...did I just get trolled?

If that's really what it sounds like then I have absolutely no clue whatsoever. Hopefully someone else will chime in with better information for you.

Do you have an aftermarket alarm system? as mine buzzes like that when i open the door with the key rather then the remote.

I don’t think so. My alarm goes off when I open with the key as well but it isn’t a buzzing sound rather than consecutive honks until the key is in the ignition

Did you bleed the front brakes? If not, drive on a dirt road and lockup the wheels to activate the ABS unit.
