Market for Running Boards?
I removed the running boards from my ‘02 Sport Edition (Sunfire Red Pearl). They’re in excellent condition, especially compared to what I’ve seen for sale. It would be expensive to ship them. I’m just wondering if there’s a market for them. I won’t be putting them back on. I have all of the hardware as well.
I’d include photos, but don’t have a way to do it.

You might be able to get $50 but it might take you a year to sell it. There are very few people looking to replace their OEM running boards or install OEM running boards. Both 4Runners I bought I put them for free with local pickup then threw them in the dumpster after a couple months.

They are worthless in the places where they don't rust and impossible to find in the places where they rust...

I wanted to sell mine cause I know some people like them and I HATE throwing away good parts, but I couldn't find anyone willing to ship them for a reasonable price - best quote I got was around $300 just to send them 500-700 miles, and only drastically jumped the further away it went... Carriers really hate long, awkward packaging

He's talking about running boards not rear bumper.

Eimkeith rear bumper uses a cut up running board for the top of it. running board cover trimming – eimkeith.com I believe it has to be a 96-98 step though.

Running board tread with it's size, could see it working for any A/M bumper with a flat surface or add flat to fill gap.
Do some thinking when cutting to get lines right, hhmmm.
