Cold start turnover idle dip

For the last week when I start my rig first thing in the morning it turns over fine but the RPMS immediately dip when it turns over like it's going to stall for a split second before it idles up. Otherwise it's running fine. I cleaned the throttle body a couple months ago so it should be fairly clean in there. It's also running a high idle for longer than I'd expect given that it's about 70 degrees in the mornings. It's almost like it's running like it's winter temps. Maybe IAC problem? Thoughts?

Mine does the exact same thing. On cold morning starts (I'm in Wisconsin though), after it fires up, it idles low for a split second than comes up to normal idle rpm.

I've never worried about it.....

Sounds like IAC or dirty MAF to me. Of those two I would think dirty IAC.

This is a great place to start. Clean the MAF first as it's only a few clamps and the thing comes out. The IAC takes a bit longer to do.

I cleaned the MAF a couple months ago when I cleaned the throttle body but I could give it another squirt.

Rough idea is mostly the MAF sensor or the IAC. Or a vacuum leak. I agree with the others. On focusing on those 2 parts.

I’ve had this issue. Mines actually died. It hasn’t happened again. I never actually did anything and it went away lol. I should try what these guys suggested.

If it's the IAC just wait until a very hot day outside. It'll die again.

My educated guess is your IAC valve is a little sticky. I think you should test it and clean it.
