School has really taken over most of my time so I haven't been active on the forum lately, however, this needed a post for sure.
For context, I am studying astronautical engineering at USC and am a design engineer/machinist at the USC Rocket Propulsion Lab (#1 rocketry team in the world).
Last week took a trip to Spaceport America in New Mexico and launched our latest flight vehicle "Fireball". I had to take the 3rd gen and it did 1600 miles with no problem and even got to see some trails on the way. Here are some pics from the trip.
The launch was absolutely incredible. Unfortunately, we had some issues with our avionics unit and were not able to recover the rocket so accurate apogee values are TBD; however, we expected upwards of 150000 ft. I'll follow this post up with some youtube videos once we release them on the official channel.
