That’s what I noticed as well. Since I’m having the symptom of whining in all gears except 4th, I googled that in relationship to Toyota transmissions and unfortunately most of the forums I read stated that there was wear on the countershaft gears causing the whine. If that’s the case, most of the people were just suggesting that I should buy a new transmission:/ most of the people with that similar issue stated that their transmission blew up shortly after experiencing that kind of noise…
