Sunroof Mount Holes leaking

I thought it was my drain leaking, but I pulled down the headliner in the corner and found this part to be leaking.

this isn't mine, but it illustrates where the leak is coming from.

I tried putting silicone over the holes up top but that didn't seem to do much. what should I try next?

I pulled my headliner and drove without it for a while and noticed drips coming from the exact same spot. A few years back, I had vultures eat the rubber weather stripping around my sunroof glass, which seemed to allow water into the rubber, and it would eventually drip from there. I'd be willing to bet the rubber around your sunroof is compromised somewhere.

Since the rubber can't be replaced, I got used sunroof glass from Ebay. This fixed the problem. It was $100 well spent, especially after spending so much time sealing my roof rack mounts and tidying things up. I had noticed a musty smell in my truck in the past and now those musty smells haven't returned.

interesting, i didn't think it'd be the glass, i do know there's a hole in the rubber in the front that i tried to seal with the same silicone. if that doesn't work i know where to look next

thanks!

I have one that leaks through the glass seal. So one out of 5 leaking through the glass seal. That's 20%

Yeah that is a pretty low percentage, however the hole on the rubber on my sunroof was pretty big, which made sense to me as to why it'd be leaking.

Have you found the leaks (if there are any) on the other four?
