You could cut the line, then use a socket/ratchet to remove the old nut, and use these ''soft'' brake lines that you can form with your hands (that also don't rust anymore) to make a new line. These work with your normal flaring tool kit. They have these lines at autopart and sell them in rolls. I think they are made of nickel and copper.
I personally would be in great fear to re-bend the same line to fit, as it seems to be your intent, as they have a tendency to be rusty already.
