Not going into programming mode

Hello Everyone,

I am currently attempting to program a new key fob for my 2001 Limited.
I followed the steps from this thread: Programming Instructions for keyless entry remote? - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum

I have not had any luck because the door lock actuator is weak and gives up around the third cycle. I tried manually locking the door by pushing the lock down and pulling it back up, but this wasn’t successful either. Is there any other way the fob can be programmed? TIA.

Replace the door lock actuator motor and try the procedure again.
