Another suspension question…..

Feel free to direct me to previous threads or builds that will help my research.

I have a 99 SR5 Highlander. Im running a All Pro front bumper with rough country winch. My coastal off-road rear swing out bumper kit just showed up today. That should be built, powder coated and installed in the next 2 weeks. To my knowledge, I’m on stock springs and I installed some cheap Monroe shocks a couple months back while I figured out the other details of my build. I currently have 265/70/r17 and would like to stick with them. I could go up an inch or 2 at most and still be comfortable.

My intention with my rig is to have a highway worthy vehicle capable of getting me into remote places on all but the extreme wheeling trails. I know that I’m looking for a unicorn but humor me….

I have kicked the icon 2.5 VS front and rear in and out of shopping carts for a couple weeks. I spoke to a gentleman at Wheeler off-road that has nearly talked me into Kings but I also see additional options in Radflo and Fox.

Honestly, I’m pretty overwhelmed with all of the options out there for shocks and springs. I feel slightly more confident in a OME 2890 Spring based on my current weight plus additional gear for outings, but I’m not married to that idea either.

I guess I’m looking for input from those that have similar set ups or have a better understanding of the differences between the pile of options out there for springs and shocks.

I currently have Kings in the front at the height they came at and then 890's in the rear. I have a 4x Innovations rear swingout with spare tire, rotopax mount, and Hi-Lift jack. Also have a RTT. When it's loaded with camping gear there is some slight sag so i'll probably put on the C59-210V springs I have soon to give me some more height. **Rear Coil Spring Discussion - The Perfect 3rd Gen Rear Spring** This is a good thread to dig through also to see what others are running for springs.

Thanks. I’ll dig through that spring thread.
