Question about fitment with 4xI bumper and RCI skids

So I've got the 4xI bumper coming and have already have RCI skids for a while. Looking at pictures of the 4xI bumper it uses that same cross member and all the pictures show that any skids go below the bumper. Problem is the RCI one has the upturned lip at the front that goes in front of that cross member. Does anyone know if I would need to chop that lip off or can I have the 4xI bumper attached underneath that lip without any issues lining up hardware elsewhere? Hopefully the owner(?) @traxman25 can chime in?

Sounds like the RCI skid lip will need to come off. I don't think there's enough play in the hardware for the RCI skid to go between the bumper and crossmember. Not to mention the bumper would have a 1/4" wider gap between the bumper and body. Probably easier to just cut the skid lip off. Here's a picture of a 4XI bumper connected to a 4XI skid on my 3rd gen.

That could be an issue. Moving the bumper down enough to sit below the skid plate will likely cause alignment issues with the bolt holes on the sides (where the stock bumper mounts). There isn't a whole lot of up and down play in those holes. You might have to cut the front lip off the skid.

Thanks for commenting on this, I appreciate your involvement in this forum and look forward to getting your product. Not a big deal, I'll just have to take a cutoff wheel to it. Was really contemplating opening up the oil change hole in it anyway as it's not big enough for me to fit my hand in and I'm using one of those Valvomax valves for changing my oil and I can't get to it without dropping the skid. So yeah not a big deal that I have to mod some things. Honestly going to mod the bumper too so that I can have a clear view of the spool on the winch I bought (hint hint, most recovery professionals are not a fan of the hidden winch trend at least that's what I've been told by some in my 4x4 club).
