Iconic Fab 3rd Gen Transmission Cooler Kits
Hey guys, I'm coming over here from the FJ Cruiser Forums. I have recently purchased a '96 4runner and am increasing my product lines to include 3rd gen 4runners as well. My goal of my entire business is to reduce lead times and give the DIY'ers the ability to complete mods at a low price. Currently all my products are in stock and ship the following day. This includes the weld it yourself bumper kits. I'm trying to get the word out to the 4runner guys about these transmission cooler bracket kits and also my future 4runner front bumper weld it yourself kits.
My most popular product by far are the automatic transmission cooler kits. These make installs a breeze and reduce the ATF temps to allow your transmission to last longer. I would recommend this for any 4runner but especially for those who have oversized tires, drive aggressively, tow, or want to bypass the small factory cooler in the radiator that is prone to failing and causing damage. Automatic transmission fluid lifespan is primarily effected by temperature, any time it goes over 210 degrees you are reducing the life of the transmission.

Maybe we could partner up and make a video install of your product to help promote it. No promises, but I think my buddy Sean and I could make it happen.

You should think of making brackets for the BM 70264 and TrueCool 4589 trans coolers as well.

I agree with the above. I used a TruCool 4589 on my first 4Runner as a standalone to bypass the radiator cooler.

Wish I had used brackets but I was in a hurry and used the zip-tie system that came with my Tru-cool. No problems 2+ years later.

Of all the coolers I’ve installed using the zip method if never had one fail or rub through the condenser.

I highly doubt it. I'll take a look later and if it does I'll let you know. If you wanted to drill some holes it could definitely fit.

My brackets only fit the Hayden 678, 698 and Derale 13613 coolers. The Hayden 699 has a much larger footprint than the coolers I sell.

If you measure the bolt hole dimensions I'll tell you if my bracket can be made to work or not.
