Not sure if you are actually looking for feedback and information, or you're just wanting someone to tell you it will fit. Suspension lift changes ride height not the arc that the wheel travels during suspension travel. A 2 inch body lift doesn't equal 2 inches of tire clearance either.

Off on a bit of a tangent but related to the OP question.... does anyone happen to know the offset and backspacing on the factory 16" aluminum (5 star) wheels? I can probably dig it up, but this thread has attracted some knowledgeable members. I am running the 5-stars with 1.25" Spidertrax spacers all around. This places my current 265/75 tires right at the edge of the Limited flares which I like. I would like to move to 17" rims and approximate this width/geometry using the rims alone (and go to narrowish 33s).I'm trying to add up the numbers as well as overcome my considerable ignorance on the subject. Might make a Black Friday move, but I don't want to buy something because some wheel MFG site says 'This Fits Your 2000 4Runner'. TIA

E 10 ply tires 3 ply's in the sidewall means less side roll = less body roll in turns and evasive maneuvers.
White letters n all Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX 255/80R17

Checking the 4th 5th Gen forums might help you with that 17's became the norm.

Sorry, I get it, and sort of yes, sort of no? If someone here had specifically fit X, Y and Z together and could say, "yes, that'll fit"? I'd be super happy.

Shy of that, you guys have been amazing, super patient and helpful, and it's appreciated, I know my approach is a tad wordy and unconventional....

White letters:

Purely a style desire, I'm 55, I always liked them as a kid, I know it's not currently trending though, even more so in 17" tires, so I'll have to just walk away from that, as a more aggressive tire that fills the wheel well better, is my end goal. I made a mistake buying the passenger rated Coopers I did, and they look anemic on the truck. A buddy jokingly told me to just paint pen the letters if wanted them so badly too, 96Red, so yeah, I know I'm being a wanker on that one, and your experience on that has been noted.

So, 2" OME suspension lift. Spacers are nylon blocks under the rear coils, an nylon pucks at the tops of the strut towers.

I'm sorry to be clueless, but what that is called, body lift or something else, I am unaware. Educate me as time and willingness allows, you've given me a lot of time over the last couple years, so thank you.

If my buddy is correct (I measured yesterday) the new 2022 alloys are +15 offset, same as my stock steels. He has zero offset wheels on his new Bronco with 35" K02's's and no other mods. Apples to oranges, not comparing the two, but those wheels allowed bolt on fit *for him*.

So I'm grasping things, slowly....

I'm also coming to grudgingly accept this maybe a bolt, on and discover I'm without a truck till I resolve the as yet unknown issues.

Hammering back the fender well, I can do that. Hoping the narrower Pizza Cutters will reduce that too. And yes, what I consider acceptable, is now on my list of things I comprehend. My old 31x105 K02's did zip something but only in an extreme move, and I lived with it, that may be in my future again.

Now to find someone local who can source these tires for me. I prefer paying cash, and as a small, local business owner, I vastly prefer to keep my dollars local, too.

The tiresize.com calculator was helpful, as I posted.

This is like handing a screwdriver to a monkey and being surprised when he stabs something with it instead!

Info is only good for me if I understand how to apply it, and E10, 3 ply etc, may as well be Greek as I thought all these were 10 ply tires (see what I mean?).

Wish I had hours to spend reading and the brain power to crunch the info into usable formatting, but I learn far faster with my hands than my eyes, and I just accpet that about myself.

The extra spacers you have are a 'spacer lift' - which isn't ideal. With that much total suspension lift on stock geometry, you are only good for looks, not actual performance. As long as you understand that, its ok. It will also put a lot of stress on your front ball joints and axles... A body lift is spacers that go between the frame mounts and the body, which leaves the suspension/drivetrain the same but lifts the body out of the way. There are pros and cons to that also.

Also, BFG K02's are available with white lettering in specific sizes. 265/75-16's are one of them (metric 32's for the stock wheels). As your lift height, they might look a bit small, but would require 0 other mods. The America's Tire website will let you search by size and white lettering to help you find what you want.

A forum member named p nut posted this about 5 Star 16" rims in 2008 if anyone's interested: Seems the backspacing is 4 5/8 (4.625").

@Endlessblockades goes hand in hand with what's been said are best numbers to look at for 3rd Gen's.
4.5" BS O offset 8" width 16" dia, different BS will have a different offset.
SCS Motegi have run both and fake beadlock steelies numbers are legit.

96RedRunner, thanks, I did cruise that, the issue I run into is I'm too short on time to learn the entire language associated with the stuff I'm doing. The amount of terminological research I'd need to make sense of 2/3 of the info found within, just isn't in my time constraints.

Apologies for how I am and how I work, but I AM learning, and this crap is way more complex that bolt and go. So grant me that much, at least.

Phatty, perfect, thanks for that. Interesting, since installed, both CV joints blew out (new axles, both sides now), and I just had my LBJ's replaced as a matter of course due to what folks have said on here, earlier this Summer. I've discussed it here, but thunking in my front end appears to be LCA bushings, scheduled to do them, come Spring. Truck has 140K on it, so none of this is off putting, I figure it's time.

I don't do crazy off road, high articulation, high speed aggressive racing (or any racing). Forest roads and access points to hiking and biking are about it. I didn't even want the added spacer lift, just wanted to level out the front end, but the spacer used was too tall, so I had to bump the back so I wasn't doing the Carolina Squat. Since I'm not doing "real" over landing, spending $1000's to address a cosmetic concern seemed silly. Sigh....

No more mods planned height wise, and I barely drive it an oil change a year as it sits all winter.

Ordered the Mickey Thomsons. I'll deal with whatever they create, and hopefully post a quick pic and report before she goes in for her winters nap....

Okay, here we go!

Dropped the wheels at my garage this morning and laid eyes on the new beasts.

Damn they're big, and awesome looking. They're certainly going to fill up my wheel wells better than those puny little metric 32's.

I'll post pics and report on fitment once I get it all taken care of in the next week or so.
