Lightbulb Fog light upgrades?

Have been trying to add amber fogs to the factory holes (did not have from factory). But really not wanting OEM price or style, would prefer projection lense with amber LED. short of adding another pod or light bar are there any options for the two round holes for factory placement?

You may be able to make these work. It would take some custom mounting. They have a good cutoff pattern with fog lenses

For those with broken fog lights, is there a decent replacement option? How much are the oems?

I have Baja Designs S1s on custom brackets. Not SAE/DOT approved, so they’re great for offroad or be ready to switch them off when there’s oncoming traffic.

If you want the OEM ones, your best bet is to find a truck being parted out near you and buying them used.

Baja Designs is planning to offer more SAE options in the future, but like you said, the S1 is not SAE. I have 2 S1s on the back end of my roof rack for chase/emergency/scene lights and noticed that they put out a few fewer lumens than the bigger Squadrons in SAE form, so I wouldn't feel too bad about running S1s down low in the factory fog holes. I have non-SAE Squadrons in an aftermarket front bumper and while I don't use them much on-road, I will always flip them off as if they were highbeams for oncoming traffic, I've never been flashed when I forget and I have done some head-on testing with friends and found them to be pretty mild down that low. I do understand that there is a lot more that goes into an SAE-approved light than raw lumens. The real A-holes are running the 12,500 lumen LP9 Pros on the street.

From BD site Squadron® SAE (2,420 lumens each) - S1 (2,375 lumens each) for lumen comparison

DiodeDynamics have SAE options, too and an 8 year warranty I believe.

Did you custom cut those holes in your valence?

Has anyone used the rockauto fog lights? They're about 100 dollars each. Curious to see the quality... One of my lights is busted....the other one works fine though...

I had OEM-style aftermarket replacements (DEPO, I think?) for a while. They were fine, but nothing to write home about. Aimed carefully, they do fill in the near field while on the street. Probably better than used OEM that would be pitted from so many miles of use, but not better than new OEM (which are probably Stanley).

Nope, those are just the holes that are already there for the stock fogs/little caps that you can pop out if the truck didnt come with fogs from the factory. The S1s are the perfect size for that hole!
