Looking to buy Front Under Protector

Hi, I’m looking to buy a 2002 Sport Edition Front Under Protector part#PZ327-35010. Looks like a skid plate 6 holes in it with 2 brackets on each side. If anyone has this and is interested in selling it. Please feel free to reach out. Thank you.

That last picture is of one on my 4Runner! The actual aluminum piece is the same between the Tacoma and 4Runner, but the brackets are different. If you are up to making custom brackets, that might open up your search. It is only for show - there is a stronger steel panel that actually protects the radiator behind it.

Funny enough, I sold that one back to the new owner of the same 4Runner I bought it from...

I was hoping someone would find a way to make their own brackets. I have the skid plate but no brackets so I have not installed mine. Would definitely like to but yes it's just for looks.

If anyone who has one could attempt to make a template I’d love to try and replicate one on my own. They’re virtually impossible to find anymore but I think it would be fairly straight forward to DIY

Hey that looks great. Man I can’t even find this on eBay. Up until last year my local dealer was selling the original with brackets for nearly $400. I regret not buying it now because they have been discontinued by Toyota Parts Dept & now I can’t find them anywhere. Yeah I’m installing just for looks but I’m sure they would absorb some impact in an accident as well.

So, question, what does Toyota do with the discontinued parts like this from their warehouse? Do they just throw them into the trash the extra inventory? I mean where do they end up?

I don’t think they bin discontinued parts. I assume “discontinued” means they’ve stopped production and allocated all remaining parts to their suppliers/distributors. I’m sure there are a few left in the back of dealers’ inventory, long forgotten.

When Toyota discontinues a part, it is no longer eligible for backorder, and all remaining stock are sold until they are gone.

You can check Partsvoice.com to see if anyone has it, but unfortunately, no dealers show this part in their inventory. It would be fairly simply for SRQ or another company to fab up something that is very similar.

I have two of these with me. One needs a bit of work to become completely straight again. The other one is perfectly straight.

I had some stuff come up this weekend that kept me from drawing up a plan for the skidplate. I'll have that for you next weekend!

Hey, the one that I bought from the other guy was bent in an accident. Does anyone have the OEM original 02’ sport edition skid plate for sale? Front under protector I think was Toyota’s official name for it. I would like to rebuy this item. Let me know if anyone else has one for sale. Thanks.

Totally forgot about this. I don't have one for sale but I can provide dimensions to have one made for you
