SEM colors for Oak Interior (Light Oak and Darker brown)?

I am sure this has been covered to some extent but my searches only found “half” of the information I am looking for so I hope someone can help.

I have a 2000 T4R LTD in Jade green and “oak” interior. The interior plastics have two colors; the “light oak” and then the darker brown color (like the door panels, kick panels, etc.

Does anyone happen to know the SEM paint color codes for BOTH the light oak plastic AND the darker brown plastic?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

couple options, You may be able to find out from a dealer, go talk to the guys in the paint dept. or If you can find the # for a Toyota rep call them. If you have a paint store that caters to professional shops, go by early on a Friday afternoon. They will usually be slow and may be helpful.

This is SEM 15223. Big fail. Matches the leather seats though.

I was pretty happy with SEM Medium Prairie Tan for the lighter oak, see below how the painted Homelink bezel matches the OEM sunroof console.

But I have not seen any good leads on the darker oak color.

Thanks everyone. I did find one "off the shelf color" by Rustoleum (#7226 Bronze) which is almost identical to the dark brown color. The only thing is, it has a little bit of texture to it. I am going to continue the search for the dark brown color and will keep everyone posted!

That would be great! I am reluctant to start buying random cans of SEM at $20 each, so it'd be good to know what works. I might also hit my local body shop supplies place and see if they'll do a custom mix of SEM.

15223 castella and 15753 Light Oak have been mentioned before. Castella is just a bit lighter while light oak is just a bit darker.

Well the 15223 isn't even close to the dark color.

I’ve seen other examples where it is pretty close. Just spraying it on with no prep work will produce a bad match. What did you do to prep the surface? Another member used it to spray an FMU and then compared it to the OE sunglasses holder. It was very close and a good match.

Edit: sorry misread your post. It matches the lighter oak plastic.

Where did you find the homelink to buy? I've been looking for one to install

I bought one off e-bay, it was pretty cheap (under $20). Frankly, I now regret it - I have since bought a set of '01 Limited visors, where the driver's side has the Homelink built in. So now I have six Homelink buttons, and a hole in my headliner .

I'd suggest going the visor route - it's much less work and does not require you to cut up your headliner. Actually, if you want, I have an extra set of Limited visors with the Homelink built in. If you're interested, PM me, we can probably work something out.

Are there cloth homelink visors or are they all leather?

Mine are not leather, they are the cloth/foam type. Here's a better picture:

How did you wire the homelink visor to work? I am interested if it's the beige color and in good shape!
