Question 99 4runner sunroof TILT

Hey guys, I see a lot of posts about various sunroof follies but I cannot find for the life of me anything about specifically the TILT function. mine opens and closes, seemingly a bit slow (it's a 99) and does not tilt up to fully seal, I'm talking a couple of millimeters gap but enough to let some oak leave in which will clog the drain holes and cause water to leak through my headliner when I go through a car wash for example.

I've pulled off the map light cover to expose the motor, seems fine, I've looked in the the window gap to see if there was some debris stuck in there and cant seem to find anything.

Anybody else have this specific Tilt function problem? Is there somehow a second motor for the tilt? I'm stumped. The motor just makes a faint trying noise when I hold the close button down.

Thanks guys!

-Also, I've tried the reset by holding the close button down for an extended period of time until it clicks, still nothing.

Does it reset itself properly when you do the Slider function? My best advice is to pull the whole assembly, lube all the cables, and pull the motor and grease the gears. There's a few writeups on doing this.
