Thanks, guys. A buddy of mine came to Tillamook and took me back to the other side of the mountain. The Hillsboro O'Reilly's had an igniter in stock. Picked it up, drove back and installed it. Engine fired right up!
The wiring looks good all the way around. I'll do a more thorough inspection when I get home. Standing in a parking lot in the cold, wind and rain while hunting for wiring problems isn't my idea of a good time. I'm glad that it was an "easy" fix. $411.00 for the part. Lifetime Warranty.
To be on the safer side, I am probably going to get an updated and refurbed ECU from these guys:
2000 Toyota 4Runner 3.4L - PCM ECM ECU | 89666-35170-84 | Flagship One - I can deal with this when I get home. Has anyone dealt with them? 15 years in the biz and they program it for your VIN.
Anyway, I'm glad that's sorted. We're just gonna stay for a few days because why not?
Cheers!
