Any NY CT NJ PA MA VT shops/mechanics that specialize in 3rd gen’s or 90’s Toyota trucks?

I’m looking for a good mechanic or shop in NY NJ CT MA PA VT that knows what to look for when servicing a 3rd gen.

I want to do some improvements on my 2001 limited so I’m trying to find someone who can look at my truck and advice me where to spend my $$.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Just an FYI, there's loads of "tri-state" areas across the US.

Sorry my bad. Yes I was interested in NY tri-state area but I’m open to PA, MA and VT also. I’ve lived in the US for 14 years. You would think I’d have known there were more than one tri-state area.

Eh, you could be from Southern California, where you might think that everyone knows where "The Inland Empire" is...

For what purpose? General restoring, improved road manners, etc?
Fwiw forums like these are already the place for that advice, and for free too

Good points. I’d like to do my shocks and coils and give the truck a little higher ride from its (probably) shrunken height on the original suspension. I’d also like to run maybe a 1/2 inch spacer.

But before I dive into that upgrade, I just want to make sure that there are not other areas of the vehicle that need attention. Because I’ll happily spend the money there before I do the suspension because the suspension is still fine. It’s just original, and I’d like something a little higher.

So all in all, the truck is running great. But I don’t want to dump a few grand into new suspension only to discovery 6 months down the road that I really should have spent the money doing X, Y and Z because they needed to be done. But right now I just don’t know what X, Y and Z is. Or if they even exist. Maybe my truck is fine and in good shape and I can spend the money on the “nice to haves” like a suspension upgrade. I’m just not sure.

I have a full service history on the truck so maybe I should just check this forum for all the “should do” items and see when mine were done. Then I can find a baseline for what I should spend money getting upgraded.

there is a section in this forum...clubs.
if you go to the top search and type in new york clubs, you will get directed to it.
maybe you can find some answer there for shops in your area
