Yet another rear suspension question

Long story short the rear suspension is shot, it sags and handles zero weight. If I stand on the hitch it probably drops a foot. I've done some research, and am looking hard at the OME 906/5100 combo. I am focusing more on the rears, as the front struts were replaced with OEM at the dealer by the PO about 20k miles ago, so they've got some life left in them. I'm mechanically inclined enough to do the rears, but the fronts I'm not a fan of decompressing springs so I'll likely outsource that work. Either way, if I can spend $400 and do the rears in my garage vs $1500 for a full set I'd much rather do that, but I'm not completely against doing everything in one go. My truck has 250k on it, and I'm not sure if the front springs were replaced with the struts or not.

I have some immediate needs, and some longer term wants (within a year or so) with my build. I don't intend on making it too geared for off-road, but want to be able to do anything I want without worry. Be it hauling hundreds of pounds, towing, light/medium off-roading, etc, and I don't mind a stiffer on road ride quality.

I'd like a suspension setup that gives me a few inches of lift, 2-3 at most, allows comfortable use of 32" A/T wheels (currently on stock wheels), probably something no more aggressive than good A/T tires. I also have a partial set of Shrockworks skid plates (gas tank and transmission/transfer case) which will add around 100lbs of constant weight in the middle/rear of the truck that I've been putting off installing because the sag is so pronounced. Overall stance I like a slight bit of positive rake that levels out when the truck is loaded up.

Is there anything I can get now, that I can grow into without being horribly compromised in-between? 906/5100 seems like a combo that will work well with my existing stock front end, but will it work long term? I am also not against incorporating something like an Airlift 1000 system.

Thanks!

906/5100 is a really good combo. I've had it for a while and handles well loaded and 2 adults 2 kids. Fairly easy job.

The 5100's are designed for the 906 springs (read between the lines on the install sheet - the spring description matches the 906's). You'll probably want to do the front 5100's and put the front up one or two notches from stock height, otherwise you will have a LOT of rake with stock height up front.

Appreciate the perspective. Right now my stock front end is 35.5/36" from ground to fender, rear is about 1.5" lower. I don't mind a bit of positive rake, but with new rears that would be about a 3-4" overall lift in the rear.

Measuring from the hub center to fender lip will eliminate any tire differences (easier to compare between trucks). The 906's will start out around 22.5" and settle to around 22". If the front is up that much already (depends on what you used in the front), then you may not need to do anything up front.

To my knowledge it's a stock setup with an original 1998 spring with 250k miles, and a stock strut with 20k miles.

The 906 on my truck are have settled about .25 inch in 4years. Front suspension on mine is bilstein 4600 with stock springs the rake is not noticeable. 1 inch difference front to back.
Edit: Mine is 2000 sr5 that came with the 99 tall springs.
