Almost to 150k miles. What maintenance should I do?

Current Codes: P0301 and P0171. I'm hoping injectors will do the trick.

Already done: timing belt, water pump, belts, plugs, wires, coil (bank 1 misfire, didn't stop the code), fuel pump.

Planning on: injectors, valve cover gasket, lower ball joints, fuel filter, and brakes (tundra 199mm upgrade?)

What else should I have my mechanic take care of while it's in the shop? Are there other gaskets I should replace while the injectors are being replaced? I'd like to set myself up for another 100k miles, despite the two codes listed above.

So there's a miss in cyl 1 - pull that plug to see whats up.

0171 could be the fat air hose between the maf and intake plenum - the ribs hide tiny cracks that may not really open much at idle yet under throttle will causing a lean condition - I used oem for that part.

Besides manual's list of maint. and what you've already done - I would add a new radiator if over 10yrs old (date stamp on it) or it looks brown vs grey - this is mostly to avoid the pink milkshake potential (add a radiator cap & new thermo -185 - if you can find one + new fluid).

Depending on temps in your area and/or whether towing is expected - an external trans cooler (in-series with existing factory one) can be a real life extender to the trans.

Brake fluid swap + TC and diff fluids. Then there's the pwr steering fluid...I just use a turkey baster on that.

There's a good sticky above on Maintenance with lots of How To info - best of luck and enjoy the Runner
