Want to get new keys and locks for my 2001 that has the securikey system. Help?

Howdy!

I have a 2001 4runner. My two sets of keys are completely worn down. This has not been an issue as the ignition tumbler is completely worn and it "works" fine. The big issue that that my keys will not unlock the truck. I can only use the fob. If the battery dies in the truck, I am effectively locked out.

What is the best way to go about getting new keys and tumblers? The ignition should be replaced. The keys are worn and should be replaced. I think the tumblers in the doors are messed up.

I have the securikey system that came with the gulf states Toyotas in the early 2000s. I also know that the late models have immobilizers.

Thanks for the help!

I'd let a locksmith look at it. It might only take new keys.
