Question '99 Limited Running Board Options

Hi folks, I am looking for some help with replacing my rotted-off '99 Limited running boards. I picked up a pair of '97 JDM Hilux Surf aluminum running boards on marketplace, but it looks like the rear brackets/bolt holes (closest to rear tires) for both the passenger and driver side boards don't properly align with the rear hangers on the car. I thought they'd work because they came off a wide-body Hilux Surf with the fender flares, but alas, no. The other 2 brackets on each board seem to line up with the hangers on the car though.

I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions on alternative/aftermarket running boards for the 99 Limited, or a way to make these Hilux brackets work out. Thanks!

Got any pics of this misalignment? That sucks, I actually want a set of those. Is there anything stopping you from making it work? Potentially making a spacer of some sort, or even using parts off the old running boards?

T4R2014, I am going to take another look under there this week, and may drill some new holes in the hanger on the car so that I can get the bolts through to the threaded nuts on the running board brackets. Will also see if there's any space in between the hangar and bracket to make a spacer of some kind so I wouldn't have to make new holes.
