Front/Rear Suspension Lift Bilstein/OME setup

I have a 1996 SR5 that I bought a 2" lift kit from Wheelers Offroad. Just finished putting on the rear setup (5100 and 906) last night, and finishing up on the fronts (5100 and 881) right now.

I noticed that for the rears, the driver side still sat 0.5" lower than the passenger side, even after I switched the springs to their respective sides (which still had 0.5" difference). Is that normal?

For the front struts, the new setup didn't have the perches sitting outward, like my stock setup. Is that normal? I don't want to start driving on it if I'm going to need to have Wheeler's reset it.

I don't have experience with lifts but from being around and hearing about others. I would say that is generally normal as almost all of the weight is on the driver's side. some people use spacers that I believe Ome sells that is like a 10mm spacer to go on the top of the rear spring. As for the shocks sometimes they get sent out backwards if I'm picturing in my head what your issue is. you just have to remove the top hat and spin it around I believe.

Thanks! I'm probably going to get that spacer. After getting everything setup, the front wheel lip is 37" on both sides. The rear passenger is about 37-1/8", while the rear driver is about 36-3/4". I'll need to drive it around and see if it settles more.

Do you know what's the harm, if it's not turned around? Is it that easy to just move the top hat without unloading the compressed spring?

Contacted Wheelers, spacer is on backorder.

And, it doesn't matter where the coil pig tail ends and points, as long as the upper mounting plate and lower shock mount align with your vehicle.

@spinn

Here is the link to the rear trim packer, and it's in stock.

SRQ OME trim packer

16 bucks. Where I got mine from. Though it says to use on bottom of spring, it's not lol, it's put on top of the spring.

Thanks! They're asking $12 for shipping. I'll check back after I've had it all settled.

Just make sure the knuckle clears the springs (on both sides!) at full droop through steering lock-to-lock. That's why the factory has the specified orientation - aftermarket springs are wound differently and often need a different orientation to have max (or even any) clearance.
