Hello all,
As I was coming up to a red light earlier today, I noticed the vehicle started sputtering as if it was gonna stall, so I quickly turned into an empty lot and let the vehicle idle for a bit to see what would happen and after a couple of minutes, it was back to normal. No check engine light, no codes.
As I got out of the vehicle to pop the hood, I could smell something burnt, not sure if I'd call it rotten egg smell like with a head gasket but it was definitely a burnt, foul smell. No white smoke from exhaust.
I got my phone and recorded a short video of under the vehicle as it was idling as well as the engine bay. You can't see anything abnormal expect for the sputtering sound, more pronounced under the vehicle as it's closer to the exhaust. Below is a link to the video:

If anyone has any idea on where to start troubleshooting this thing, I'd appreciate it. The fuel filter was replaced back in 2016 with 232K miles on the clock, right now I'm almost at 280K, and the gas tank's full. I'll check the throttle body and MAF sensor, both of which were also cleaned back in 2016 but if that were the cause, I think the sputtering would always be present and wouldn't just appear and disappear on its own?
Thanks in advance!
