help in valuation of my 3rd gen - people keep knocking on my door!

hello!

I have a Black 2001 SR5 with 170-180k miles on it. It's our third car and it needed a suspension repair that I never got to (I can't remember the exact part that needed to be replaced). It sat for about a year and when I went to start it, gas pours out from the gas tank when running. I've intended to fix that too, but I'm not getting around to it and now I need a new car with a third row, so the 4runner, sadly, needs to go.

I have people knocking on my door asking to buy it but I'm not sure what to ask. It's in really good condition otherwise. The interior is in really good condition for the age.

Any ideas on what I should ask, ballpark range? I'm in the Annapolis, MD area if that makes a difference.

I've never sold a car privately, so I'm not sure where to start. Thanks for any insight!

Need more info, since you're in Md., is there a lot of rust on the frame?

Post some photos of the frame, the more the better for us to see the condition of the frame.

T4Rs are known for bad frame rust in the "snow belt" from the salt put on the roads, if it has bad frame rust, it may only be good for parts.

If not much rust on the frame look for others for sale in your area and then deduct for the needed repairs to get a ballpark value.

thank you. there's rust but I'm not sure how bad is bad. I've seen photos where people say "that's normal, looks fine". I'll snap some photos to get the forum's opinion. Thanks!

The most important location is on the inside of the frame, next to the muffler, where the rear lower link bracket attaches to the frame - that is the area that rusts out first, generally.
