Question Battery Draw coming from Dome light?

I know this subject seems funny. I have an 02 Sport and all of a sudden my battery is dead whenever I go to start it. It happened yesterday, this morning, and after work. When I got home I used a light tester and noticed a slow and steady draw on the Battery when the vehicle was off. So I started pulling fuses and found that the draw was coming from my dome light/interior clock. Now what could be causing this, and how do I fix it??

thanks, mIke

I would start by checking the door switches for the dome light. Sometimes those corrode and start shorting to the frame of the car. It has happened to me in the past on my CRX.

Disconnect both of them and see if the battery draw goes away. If it does, then you'll need to clean them up or replace them. I think you can carefully pull the rubber boot off and remove a single screw to get them out of the car (I'm not 100% sure of this though, as I haven't removed mine before on the 4runner).
