Buying Parts Online and P0203

First off let me state that I was not lazy and tried to search through past posts for the answers for my questions. Problem was the search feature was not working.

After receiving a whopping $2586.61 to fix my PO302 problem fand a few other things for my 97 4Runner from the dealership I decided to buy my own parts online and have a friendly mechanic who charges a much better labor rate fix my car.

What's the best place to look for parts? So far trademotion.com looked reasonable.

Also the dealer gave me the #'s for the parts I need. Is that the # for the same part from multiple brands or will the part # vary from brand to brand? Is there a specific brand I should look for?

Thanks in Advance!!!

Rockauto.com is a site which seems to have many odds and ends that I am looking for. Pricing is good and delivery is always quick.

PO302 - is that a cylinder misfire? I am not experienced with those repairs (knocks on wood) what kind of parts are you looking for that repair?

Yes, it is a cylinder #2 misfire. I need a fuel injector and ignition wires.

Dealer quoted me at Fuel Injector $173 ignition wires $70.

Brief scan I found $155 for FI and $58 for ignition wires.

for the injector look/call here. http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsTOY.asp

The site only lists full sets but you can call them for a single injector. It's about $40 IFIRC.

Wire sets are also about $40 at O'reilly if have one near.

All trademotion vendors are not in the same price structure. TradeMotion is actually a front service that serves many different dealers. Toyota of Dallas is usually very competitive with the pricing. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...02&catalogid=1
