fog lights
I'm really intimidated by cars with fog lights, i think they just look mean, especially the yellow lights. I want that. I did a search, but nothing really helped me out. I was wondering if it is easy and affordable to get fog lights installed onto my t4r. It didn't come with fog lights. If so, how difficult and expensive would it be to get them on. I looked near, it looks like there is a harness for a possible fog light connection, or is that for something else. Thanks for any help.

Since you have the '99 you have the cutouts for fogs and if you check ebay you can find the OEM fogs or replacement kits and you should be able to find a good deal with some searching;dealer will charge over $500/pair but you should find a pair under $200 new.
I have Hella Yellowstars in mine and they work pretty decent in fog and rain and really help out my Ultrastars in the headlamps.
I'll get some better pics over the weekend.

i've been looking around for aftermarket fogs because my 96 obviously doesn't have the cutouts. so far i've found the Hella ff75 or Hella Optilux 2020. research for them. as for the yellow lights, them Hella Yellows or the http://superlumination.com/images/auto_bulbs/aw.gif
these cheap ones from www.autolumination.com
good luck

I did the ebay search for some fogs and this came up. Would this fit my ride...cause my 4runner is an sr5 too. It doesn't mention year or anything.

I bought the Toyota Kit from yellow and blue lighting and they work great and are easy to install, the website is: Toyota Fogs
I also bought Nokya Hyper Yellow Bulbs to go in them...the result is this.
They are even more yellow in person.

I just won a set from them. If you want to save some money on bidding, ask the seller a question if they would sell the set for a previously winning bid of around $130. They will say yes only if you paypal them the money directyl which is against ebay policy. Or just call in and see what they can hook you up with.
I won the last bid for 140. I cant wait as one of the factory fogs broke apart when a tried to change the bulb. OEM is just plain crap...

My fogs are original and they are in perfect shape but OEM can always be improved on.
